At the Richards-Sinta Foundation, we believe in building a brighter future through workforce housing, health innovation, and environmental stewardship!

Workforce Housing

Communities can’t thrive without teachers, nurses, firefighters, and service workers living locally. When these workers are priced out, schools shrink, services suffer, businesses struggle, and the community declines.

R-SF acts as a catalyst that brings together municipalities, major employers, private capital, and real estate developers to create workforce housing communities.

R-SF exists because well-intentioned, patient capital intended for workforce housing fails to produce its full potential when inserted into conventional development economics. We aren't looking for partners to work for free or abandon appropriate returns. We're looking for partners willing to create a transparent economic structure in which philanthropic concessions flow primarily to the community we're trying to serve.

Our role:

Develop and manage affordable rental and ownership housing tied to local AMI (Area Median Income).
Create and administer deed restrictions and pricing caps to preserve affordability across generations.
Partner with municipalities, employers, private capital, and developers.

Impact:

Stable, dignified housing strengthens the middle class, anchors families, and sustains local economies.

Wellness Innovation - Designed for Health

At the Richards-Sinta Foundation, we believe that housing isn't truly affordable if it undermines health.

Our approach to Wellness Innovation goes beyond building housing — we design communities that actively support the physical, mental, and social well-being of the people who live there.

Our role:

Design Healthy Homes. Poor air quality, toxic materials, or cramped design can create long-term health challenges for families
Incorporate Community Wellness Centers. Community gardens for fresh food, outdoor activity, and connection. Walking and biking trails to encourage active living. Wellness rooms for yoga, meditation, fitness, or group workshops. Bike storage and tool pods.

Providing simple Health and Wellness services allows the community to thrive

Environmental Stewardship

Protecting our natural resources for future generations, while providing a level of energy independence. Our approach to Environmental Stewardship focuses upon utilizing renewable energy strategies, and eliminating the use of harmful pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.

Our role:

Integrating community solar micro-grids and rooftop solar gardens with battery storage.
Installing rooftop or shared solar gardens with battery storage for energy resilience and to lower utility bills
Utilizing sustainable farming and landscaping techniques

Impact:

Community's lower their energy bills and become more energy independent and resilient
Protecting our environment while providing proven heath benefits to the community
